Who has profited the most from the pandemic?

One of the things that bothers me the most about this pandemic is how two sides typically at extreme odds with each other have become eerie bedfellows.

The left is typically rabidly anti 1%, anti the wealthiest among us, anti our largest corporations. Usually anything that any politician would propose to transfer such extreme amounts of wealth from the bottom upwards to the top would be met with extreme opposition by the left. While I may disagree with their thinking in many ways, I can appreciate them keeping an eye on the largest and most powerful amongst us. This serves a good civic purpose.

During this pandemic though, under the extreme measures locking down our society, we have witnessed one of the largest transfers of wealth in our history. We have seen the largest corporations in America deemed essential and their profits sky rocket while true small businesses have been boarded up and closed nationwide.

How has the left been blind to this? How have they had the wool pulled over their eyes to happily accept mandate after mandate that only benefitted their usual #1 nemesis? I can’t get into their minds but it seems they have been happy to accept all of this based on either fear placed upon them by a barrage of false media stories OR out of a hatred to the current leadership.

To be clear, when I point to false media stories and the fear they impose, I do this after looking at the data. I don’t speak to you based on media stories. I only have looked directly at the CDC data, state government data, and other government sites. You can look at this too and after doing so you also may realize that this virus is not nearly as deadly as has been presented. Over 99.5% of people seem to survive this and go forward. Outside of a few outliers, we know who will get sick and we know how to help and treat them.

So many small businesses, mom and pop shops and stores, will not make it through this. So many people will be out of their homes. This too will only advance the trend to larger and larger corporations and wealth in the hands of fewer and fewer. The wealthiest among us will be there to buy up these properties at the end of the day. Society will change. These lockdowns without a doubt benefit the wealthiest persons and corporations among us.

If it’s only because of a hatred to the current leadership then realize that the left is playing right into the hands of the “elite” at the top, their usual foe.

I am truly baffled how the left has been and continues to either not see this or be ok with this.
